We recently had the opportunity to work with a client who wanted to surprise her husband with a party for his 25th birthday. When she contacted us with her idea for a casino & poker-themed party, we were so excited to begin working together!

The private dining room at Mesh Restaurant on Mass Ave was the perfect space for the party, complete with a blackjack table from AMS Entertainment. Guests were able to test their luck while sampling delicious items from the custom menu created for the evening.

In keeping with the casino & poker theme, Confectioneiress provided a custom cake for the occasion decorated with poker chips and playing cards. Posh Petals created festive vases made to look like dice and filled each one with beautiful red flowers and topped each with playing cards.

Gold chiavari chairs with black specialty linens and napkins from A Classic along with red LED up-lighting from Gallery 52 Event Rentals tied together the entire look. We added gold chargers and faux mercury glass votives to the dinner table to complement the theme.

Old Hollywood is making a come back in wedding trends. Many brides are wanting that Audrey Hepburn look and feel when it comes to her dress and decor. Brides looking for the old hollywood feel often love the glitz and glamor.

Red and gold are very common colors to use when planning a wedding reception based on the old hollywood theme. Consider having a champagne tower at your reception. This one by Martha Stewart Weddings is very elegant. The tall black wire doors in the background add a glamorous feel to the room. Wedding dresses that resemble the old hollywood theme can be expensive, but it is not impossible to find a dress that fits any budget.
